“Choosing the right university for four years of study is vital”, said Hoang Tan Toan, who chose DTU to learn how to become a tour guide. “The education quality enables us to develop our personal and professional skills. Other important factors in learning are attitude and soft skills. I know that DTU graduates highly-skilled tour guides who are fluent in foreign languages, to work in Danang and the rest of Central Vietnam. That’s why I chose DTU.”
The DTU Honors programs also attract international students from Laos, Cambodia, the UK, the Philippines and elsewhere, currently 60 out of the 800 total.
“At first, I was homesick, missed my friends and was a little worried,” said Chorlakoun Soudavone, a second year Financial Management student from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. “Very soon however, when I got to know my lecturers and classmates, I felt much more confident. The lecturers are enthusiastic and ready to help us at all times. My colleagues are very friendly and introduced me to the Vietnamese culture and people. I have rapidly adapted to my new environment and now want to stay here for a long time.”
High-quality education in an international environment
Graduating from one of the DTU Honors programs will open the door to the best career and salary prospects. To ensure the highest quality of education, DTU has hired teams of professors, lecturers and PhDs from universities nationally and abroad, all experienced researchers with publications in ISI and Scopus-indexed journals.
Experiencing high-quality training in international environment
The international programs enable students to develop their knowledge, skills, morals and foreign-languages. The HP classes divided into small groups of thirty to forty students each. Meanwhile, the foreign students can improve their English and become more confident in their work and communications in Vietnam.
Additional activities in collaboration with foreign universities include the P2A Passage to ASEAN and Learning Express, in partnership with Rangsit University in Thailand, Norton University in Cambodia, the National University of Laos, the Myanmar Computer Institute and Singapore Polytechnic, for academic exchanges where students learn and share their experiences in various ASEAN cultures.
At the same time, Honors program students can visit and intern at major local companies, such as Vinpearl Danang, the Port of Danang, Vina Acecook Danang, B.A.P. Software, Enclave Software, FSoft and LogiGear, to broaden their experience and job prospects on graduation.
