Located in the center of a most liveable city on the banks of the romantic Han River, DTU is the first and biggest private university in Central Vietnam. It is a multi-level, multidisciplinary, and multi-field university. During the last 26 years, DTU has unceasingly worked on affirming its prestige and on growing, with the will and the aspiration to reach high. “To work on creating a regionally prestigious DTU that is integrated with the world.”
DTU has enrolled a total of 100,972 students (research students, postgraduate, undergraduate, and vocational high school) and trained high-level human resources in service of society. With the 62,788 Masters, engineers, architects, and Bachelors in addition to 8,000 vocational high school graduates (in a training program terminated in 2012). It is thanks to their solid knowledge foundation and to their acumen when choosing a suitable environment that 94.27% of DTU graduates find employment six months after finishing university.

Mr Le Thanh Tung is one of the students of DTU’s first Computer Engineering classes (1995–1999). After finishing a Master in Accounting at DTU, he is now Head of the Danang State Treasury Expenditure Control Department. “I studied at DTU to obtain the appropriate specialized knowledge and skills for my work at the Treasury,” he explains. “All throughout my studies at DTU, I felt it has an excellent training environment, training programs of quality, and enthusiastic and highly experienced lecturers. In addition to providing training related to our majors, the university also pays a lot of attention to fostering vital soft skills in students through extracurricular activities, Union activities, and the like. These are the things businesses are always searching for in their employees.”

“If life were a series, the episode of your student time would be the most interesting one, the one most worth seeing, and the one most worth being proud of,” Tien Thanh, senior Marketing Specialist at SunGroup and DTU graduate of Management Information Systems at CMU standard, says. “DTU is the place that allowed me to write a very beautiful chapter of young years for my series. Not only is it there that I studied and that I was trained for a also where I lived every day happily, where I could exchange, grow up, share, and be helped. An alumnus of the DTU Faculty of Information Technology of class K14, Mr Le Huu Hoa is currently Head of the Development Group at Luvina Software JSC, Danang branch. Luvina is a fully Japanese venture that operates in software development. “You must admit that, in the Danang IT labor market, DTU graduates are currently the human resource of the highest quality; even when comparing to those of some local universities in Danang or even of regional universities in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, DTU students show the ability to outperform them all,” is his assessment. “They master the knowledge and professional skills of their field, their working style is also very professional, they are good at foreign languages, and their soft skills — like giving presentations and working in a team — are very good.”

DTU has its own production studio named Silver Swallows Studio. It has invested in the most advanced software currently available, such as Pro Tools, 3DS Max, 3D Maya, and ZBrush. Silver Swallows Studio successfully launched its first documentary film The First Swallows in the series When the Silver Swallow Goes to War
DTU’s two soccer fields, six badminton courts, a basketball field, a volleyball court, and a tennis court of relatively large area fulfill their roles of improving lecturers’ and students’ health while allowing them to forge friendships through lively sports activities
