Whenever supply does not meet demand as has been the case of late, graduates in social sciences and humanities suddenly become more wanted than ever. As one of the few universities in Danang offering training in social sciences and humanities, DTU is therefore attracting a great many students to these majors for this 2019 enrollment season.

 

DTU offers the following law majors:

- Law

- Economic Law

 

Bachelors in Law can join important organizations and take responsibility of all things legal, to ensure the safety of assets, lives, and other resources of both people and businesses. For this, the DTU Faculty of Law developed a team of qualified experts - professors, associate professors, PhDs, and experts with a lot of experience working at departments, ministries and agencies in Vietnam and abroad or at other law training institutions and law research institutes - rights when it was founded. To ensure that its students acquire the comprehensive knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of their grey-matter work, DTU applies the following methods to lecturing and studying: Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning

 

DTU has created an intensive training program providing its students with a firm grasp of knowledge of law in the fields of: 

- Civil law

- Criminal law

- Administration

 

During their studies, students can attend court sessions, seminars, legal forums, moot courts to practice giving legal advice, or extracurricular activities organized by the Young Lawyer Club. 

 

DTU organizes many seminars and exchange activities to improve students’ knowledge and skills

 

Graduates are able to work as: lawyer, civil servant, inspector, verifier, court clerk, judge, legal councilor, legal advisor and others.

 

DTU offers the following majors in Communications and International Relations:

- Literature and Journalism

- Multimedia Communications

- International Relations

- Tourism Culture

 

Keeping pace with the world and equipping its students with sufficient baggage to meet all of society’s requirements are the leading priorities at DTU. As such, students of Literature and Journalism at DTU will be transmitted the practical experience on journalism and editing skills, program design and direction, and event organization of their lecturers - journalists and editors with many years of experience.

For practice and training, students of Multimedia Communications can enjoy the many opportunities DTU has on offer: 

- the Silver Swallows film studio

- the Journal of Science and Technology

- the Center for Information Technology

- the Center for Software Engineering

- the Media Center

 

DTU furthermore creates conditions for students to do internships at the Thanh Nien newspaper, Danang Radio and Television, the Cong An Danang newspaper, Danang publishing house, or the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, where students can get experience and train their skills before entering the professional world.

 

While multimedia communications are about to play an ever more important role, the DTU major in International Relations is considered a high-level major enjoying the interest of a great many young people, due to the trend of international integration of the country. At this moment, DTU is the only university in Central Vietnam or the Central Highlands offering:

- Bachelor of International Relations

- Master of International Relations

 

The major of Tourism Culture, from its side, is one with great potential among the social sciences and humanities majors, especially when it comes to job opportunities in Danang. DTU students will be equipped with in-depth knowledge of Vietnam and of its customs and traditions

 

Graduates can work at:

- Culture departments and boards

- Governmental and non-governmental organizations

- In hospitality, as tour guides, or at travel agencies in Vietnam and abroad

 

Thanks to a dynamic study environment, modern facilities, and well-developed curriculums, DTU students have always been working hard and have a clear presence in the list of achievement of the university, with many a big prize. Most outstanding among these is a third prize in the Social Sciences and Humanities section of the 2018 Eureka Research Prize.

Just the major of International Relations has many graduates holding important positions in government agencies and in Vietnamese and foreign firms:

- Hoang Trong Thang works at the Department of Science, Technology, and International Collaboration of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment

- Nguyen Thi Thanh An works at the Ninh Binh province External Relations Office

- Le Ba Khanh Thanh is Chairman of the Eden Danang hotel Entertainment Board

- Hoang Tien works as the Peace Trees ONG, Quang Tri.

 

In 2019 season, DTU continues to award preferential scholarships students of Social Sciences and Humanities:

 

- DTU Scholarships: 720 scholarships worth from one to five million dong each for applicants, including Social Sciences and Humanities, with a total High Graduation Exam three-subject score three to ten points higher than the admissions minimum. 

- 700 Scholarships: from 500,000 to 2 million dong for applicants, including Social Sciences and Humanities, with a high school transcript score of 22 or above.

- Talent scholarships: 215 scholarships with a total value of 11 billion dong, including Tourism Culture and Economic Law applicants, with high school graduation scores of 20 or higher.

- Other scholarships: worth 5 million dong each for first year  students , including Social Sciences and Humanities, who have won consolation prizes at national student contests or at national science and technology contests.
