Mr Le Phuoc Thiet is happy to obtain his Master’s degree at age 85

At the ceremony, DTU also awarded prizes to the valedictorians of its Master’s and university Bachelor’s degrees. Among them was Mr Le Phuoc Thiet (85 years old), who completed a Master of Business Administration. Overcoming many obstacles of health and transport (He lives in Quang Nam and came to Danang to study), he received his Master’s degree to the happiness of himself and his family and to the pride of his grandchildren and his classmates. Witnessing an old man who is still passionate about learning despite his age made today’s graduates admire him, and they will keep him as an example of life-long learning.

Among the many guests at the ceremony was Mr Weiger Cornelissen, Development Center Manager of Sioux Tech Software, who expressed his happiness and confidence at the educational quality of the school. “My company is a software development center,” he said. “We came to Danang to find quality human resources to meet the huge future development requirements of the company. Seeing that Danang possesses good infrastructure and a suitable investment climate, we stayed here and contributed many smart applications to the location in the five past years. That I am here at your graduation ceremony today is because of the good relations Sioux Tech Software and DTU established many years ago. There are many DTU graduates working at our company. DTU alumni work very efficiently, and I cannot forget to mention Lam Khuong Trung, a skilled engineer with very good English language skills in his job. This shows how the university’s quality educational programs trains skilled students and from there created the DTU brand. We hope to welcome even more DTU Bachelors to work in our company in the future.”
