To help high school students from Danang and Quang Nam improve their English skills and ASEAN awareness, DTU held an English Eloquence contest entitled "ASEAN Integration" on March 31st.

According to the organizers, the objective was to improve the English skills of high school students, to enhance the quality of English teaching in high schools and allow the students to demonstrate their communication, eloquence and research skills in English, whereby talented students would be chosen for intensive training to participate in national and international English competitions.
Contestants competed in three sections, Introduction, Knowledge of ASEAN and Eloquence. In the Knowledge of ASEAN section, contestants were asked about ASEAN history and key dates, and the best places to visit in ASEAN. Topics in the Eloquence section included the importance of learning English, friendship between ASIAN members and the individual cultures of ASEAN people.
The Organizers awarded a First prize to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Danang, a Second to the Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted in Quang Nam and a third prize to the Hoang Hoa Tham High School in Danang
