Duy Tan University understands student needs to discover far-off places and learn more and more as they travel. The university has therefore expanded its partnerships with respected universities worldwide and grants valuable scholarships annually to help them realize their dreams.
In 2018-2019, Duy Tan University will continue to award full and partial scholarships worth 15 billion vnd in total to enrollees in the Overseas Study, On-Site Study-Abroad and Advanced programs. These are special scholarships and a focal point of the generous financial packages for incoming students with outstanding 2018 High Graduation Exam scores and those from disadvantaged families.

Recently, there has been a marked increase in students with high Graduation Exam scores applying for the diverse variety of collaborative programs with leading American partners. In 2017, many signed up for the On-Site Study-Abroad program that offers Troy University and Keuka College degrees. The ones with the highest scores received full DTU scholarships, worth 454 million vnd, including Le Thi Thu Ngan, with 28.5; Pham Minh Tuan, with 27.5; Truong Hoang Trung, with 25.9; Le Nha Y Quyen, with 25.75; Do Thi Ngoc Khanh, with 25.4; and Dang Hong Son, with 24.45.
In 2018, DTU will offer twenty full and partial scholarships, worth 5 billion vnd in total, for the best students enrolling in the On-Site Study-Abroad program for Troy University and Keuka College degrees, as follows:
• Applicants who have won first, second or third prizes in the National Skilled Student Selection contests or in the Science and Technology competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and have already graduated from high school can immediately enroll in any related major, on the condition that must also have an English score of at least 7 or an IELTS score of 5.5 or above.
• For admission based on National High School exam scores:
- Enrollees with scores of 24 or more in three subjects in the High School exam and an English score of at least 7 or an IELTS score of 5.5 will be granted full scholarships,
- Enrollees with scores 22 or more in three subjects in the High School exam and an English score of at least 5 will be will be granted 50% scholarships,
- Enrollees with a High School Graduation Examination score of at least 24 for three subjects and an English score of 5 will receive an English language scholarship of 20 million vnd.
• 3 full scholarships will be awarded covering 100% of tuition fees for the two final years for students of the On-Site Study-Abroad Troy University program.
Pham Minh Tuan, who is currently majoring in Hospitality & Hotel Management, in collaboration with Troy University, achieved a 27.5 and a perfect score for Geography. “With my high score, I was lucky enough to obtain a full scholarship for the On-Site Study-Abroad program with Troy University,” he explained, after one year of study. “I don’t have to pay any fees throughout my years of study, and meanwhile have access to an education program of the highest international quality. This year my major has been taught completely in English to prepare us for studying next year with visiting lecturers from Troy University. The On-Site Study-Abroad program has high admission and scholarship requirements, which is why my classmates study hard, speak good English, and also have strong communication skills. When we go to study at Troy University, we will have to be even more diligent to achieve acceptable results, before returning home to contribute to the development of Vietnam, hopefully in my favorite field, which is history.”
In addition, in the 2018 enrolment season, DTU continues to offer students entering advanced programs with American universities the following scholarships:
• 45 scholarships granted by American universities and Boeing Aircraft Company :
- 15 scholarships of 20 million vnd each, from the Boeing Aircraft Company
- 10 scholarships of 10 million vnd each, from the University of Pennsylvania (PSU)
- 10 scholarships of 10 million vnd each, from the California State University (CSU)
- 10 scholarships of 10 million vnd each, from Purdue Northwest University (PNU)
• 50 scholarships for students entering the advanced CMU, PSU, CSU and PNU programs, including:
- 10 scholarships of 5 million vnd each, to students enrolled in CMU programs,
- 20 scholarships of 5 million vnd each, to students enrolled in PSU programs (except Hospitality and Tourism)
- 10 scholarships of 5 million vnd each, to students enrolled in CSU programs,
- 10 scholarships of 5 million vnd each, to students enrolled in PNU programs.
The time to select a university of your choice is here again, so you should now carefully investigate admission procedures, the majors offered, the study environment and scholarships available as soon as possible, in order to be given priority as an early applicant.
In 2018, DTU will offer two ways for students to apply:
(1) Admission based on 2018 National High School Examination scores
(2) Admission based on 12th grade high school records
