Three DTU Students Enter the 3rd Round of the 2017 CPA Contest

On October 8th, the 2nd round of the 2017 CPA Contest was held at DTU, with twelve contestants.  Three of them, Dang Thi Minh Tram and Nguyen Nhu Thuy from Accounting and Le Ho Bao Chinh, from the International School, moved on to the 3rd round scheduled from October 26th to November 2nd in HCMC. The contest consisted of three parts, including making a presentation on an optional topic in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.

“CPA Potential” is held annually by the Accounting and Auditing Club at the University of Economics in HCMC for economics students nationwide. The contest focuses on Auditing and Finance and expands students’ educational and personal skills. It provides qualified and ambitious students with the latest information on career opportunities and introduces them to potential employers, in order to prepare them for future jobs.

Dr. Phan Thanh Hai, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Accounting, said: “Over the years, the CPA Potential contest has become an important venue for economics students. It allows students to share their experiences, broaden their special knowledge and improve their professional skills, in preparation for their future careers. I wish you all good luck in the contest.”

In the 3rd round, the contest consist of two parts, an essay and soft skills section and a tour of the Unilever Company. The finals will be held at the University of Economics in HCMC at 17.30 on November 11th. Winners will receive a first prize of 15 million vnd and a Certificate of Merit, the second prize will be 10 million vnd and a Certificate of Merit and third prize 5 million vnd and a Certificate of Merit, plus four consolation prizes worth 1.5 million vnd with Certificates of Merit.
