Faculty of Nursing Welcomes K23 Freshmen

On the evening of September 24th, the DTU Faculty of Nursing held a welcoming ceremony for K23 Nursing students. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-Provost; Mr. Nguyen Huynh Ngoc, Dean of DTU Faculty of Nursing; Mr. Dinh Thanh Tung, a representative of the Esuhai Company; Ms. Ho Thi Phuc, Deputy-Chairperson of the Danang Association of Nursing, lecturers and nursing students attended.

The welcoming party is held annually for DTU freshmen of nursing to meet one another, get used to their new surroundings and help each other during their time at Duy Tan University.  
 
 
Ms. Ho Thi Phuc presents nursing caps to new students 
 
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “Enrollments in Health Sciences have increased recently and DTU has already graduated 1,000 nurses to work in the Central Region. The university has invested strongly in the most advanced health-care learning and research facilities and I am sure you will all work very hard in your studies and research to develop the specialized skills required in the development of Vietnam’s health-care sector.” 

New students enjoyed some exciting activities, including dancing and lively games. In recognition of student achievements, the Faculty of Nursing presented three awards to freshmen with the highest entrance exam results and two to the neediest. The Esuhai Company also donated 10 scholarships worth 2 million dong each.

Many challenges and opportunities face the new students but, with resilience, passion and enthusiasm, they will turn their dreams into reality.
