On June 3, DTU partnered with the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper to hold a job fair to introduce graduating students to large local companies.
Over a thousand students attend the job fair
Ninety-two large companies and government agencies from Danang and central Vietnam were there to recruit students for 3,152 jobs in Economics, Hospitality, Foreign Language and Technology. Fifteen hundred new DTU graduates attended with another ten thousand from other local universities and colleges.
In this era of accelerating national industrialization, modernization and international integration, qualified human resources are essential to achieve the successful development of Vietnam. Education has never had a more important role to play to meet the demanding workforce socioeconomic requirements, so improving education standards and assisting graduates to find suitable careers is a major objective for all universities.
“In order to maintain meaningful relations with the business world, universities must tailor their education to meet market requirements and meanwhile create job opportunities for their graduates. DTU has run job fairs since 2006,” said a university representative. “In total, four hundred organizations have received 24,459 job applications for 16,512 positions.”
During this Job Fair, exchanges were arranged with Hoa Sen Holdings and Starup Coffee. Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, stated that the annual Job Fair offers the opportunity for graduates to find careers appropriate to their abilities and interests, allowing companies to recruit highly qualified employees. “The program is really important for DTU, local businesses, and, in particular, for graduates. It aims to bring education and employers closer to each other and emphasizes the concern that our university has for the future of our students,” said Dr. Phu.
