The Viettel Information Security Center has just announced the results of the Student Information Security Contest - "Viettel Mates Ctf”. The University of Information Technology at Vietnam National University in HCMC came first, with the VNU University of Engineering and Technology coming second and DTU third.

The Student Information Security Contest is organized to solve complex problems involving Network Security. After competing five online qualifying rounds, eight teams were selected for the finals. Teams participated in online cyber-attacks to demonstrate their skills.
Nguyen Nhat Hoang, from the K19 TMT1 Information Technology class said: “These contests allow us to broaden our programming skills and get a better understanding of network security and how to prevent cyber-attacks”.
Seven DTU students were offered paid internships at the Viettel Information Security Center. They will be offered full-time jobs if they perform well during their internships.
With their impressive accomplishments in 2016, both nationally and globally, the ISITDTU team ranked second in Vietnam and fortieth in the world according to CTF Time, the leading assessment and ranking organization in Information Security, at
