Achievements

Twenty Outstanding Danang Scientists are Honored

On December 24th, twenty leading Danang scientists were recognized for their active involvement in promoting Science and Technology in the city over the past twenty years. The event was organised by the municipal People’s Committee and the city’s Union of Science and Technology Association, marking the twenty years since Danang became a centrally-governed city, during which time the scientists have implemented the results of their research for the benefit of Danang.  

The honorees were:

1. Dr. Nong Thi Ngoc Minh, former Deputy Chairperson of the Danang People’s Committee and former Director of the city’s Science and Technology Department.
2. Associate Professor Phan Cao Tho, Provost of the Junior College of Technology.
3. Mr. Bui Van Tieng, Chairman of the city's Historical Science Association 
4. Associate Professor Doan Quang Vinh, Deputy Director of the University of Danang.
5. Associate Professor Nguyen Van Ly, Director of Academy of Politics, Zone III.
6. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Director of the city-based QCM Technology Company.
7. Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, Vice-Provost of Duy Tan University.
8. Professor Le The Gioi, Director of the University of Economics.
9. Mr. Tran Dan, Vice-Chairman of the Municipal Bridge and Road Association.
10. Dr.Tran Thi Hoa Ban, former Deputy-Director of the Department of Health.
11. Mr. Vo Hoa, Deputy-Director of the Danang Power Company.
12. Dr. Vo Van Tuong of the Danang General Hospital.
13. Mr. Tien Dung, Deputy- Director of the Power Transmission Company No 2.
14. Mr. Bui Hong Trung, Deputy Director of the Danang Transportation Department.
15. Mr. Nguyen Duy Quy, Principal of the Tuong Lai Special School.
16. Mr. Tran Dung of the Central Power Corporation.
17. Ms. Le Thi Nga, Principal of the Duc Tri Pre-School.
18. Mr. Le Manh Hoang, of the Danang branch of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications.
19. Mr. Huynh Thao Nguyen, of the Danang Power Company.
20. Mr. Phung Chat, of Danapha Pharmaceuticals.
