There is keen competition amongst Vietnamese companies to hire skilled workers. However, seemingly qualified and experienced staff with inadequate degrees are losing their jobs. Graduates of Vocational schools who already have jobs should consider enrolling in the DTU Bachelor’s degree Linking programs. To meet increasing demand, in 2016, DTU has expanded its linking programs with additional study options, to allow students to improve their qualifications and graduate with a higher degree.
Information Technology
Applicants with Associate degrees who are working in the field of Information Technology can enroll in Software Engineering or Network Technology courses. DTU is renowned for its IT programs and Linking program students of Software Engineering will be taught by lecturers who are Associate Professors with PhD degrees, using advanced curricula from Carnegie Mellon University, one of the four leading universities in Information Technology of the US and the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) teaching model, which is widely used in developed countries.
Students will work in modern, air-conditioned classrooms, equipped with projectors and powerful desktop computers, using 3D Lab Modeling, Network Attack software and other special software, with other special devices and software provided by Cisco, Draytek, Pro Tools, 3DSMax, 3D Maya, Zbrush, Unity, Unreal and others. Graduates will receive Bachelor degrees on course completion.
DTU students of IT, Electrical Engineering, Construction and Architecture win major awards
Construction and Architecture
The Construction industry in Vietnam currently needs many new skilled engineers to work on strong and attractive new buildings in cities around the country. In particular, Danang has the highest growth rate in Vietnam, in both the growth of projects and population. The DTU Linking programs are designed to supplement the worker’s prior knowledge of construction and teach the additional skills for them to become more efficient and innovative in their jobs.
At present, DTU is enrolling students in Civil and Industrial Construction and Road and Bridge Construction. In addition, DTU will also offer an enrollment link with Architecture this year, from an Associate to a Bachelor’s degree, for students who already have an Associate degree in Architecture from selected universities in central Vietnamese.
Students in Architecture and Construction linking courses will be taught using advanced curricula from California State University Fullerton and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, two leading universities on the American west coast in Construction and Architecture. The linking program from an Associate Vocational high school to a Bachelor’s degree will take 2 to 3.5 years, and linking programs from an Associate degree to a Bachelor’s degree will take from 1 to 2.5.
Electrical Engineering
Currently, DTU linking programs in Electrical Engineering are offered in two majors, Telecommunications and Electrical Automation. This program from an Associate degree to a Bachelor’s takes from 1.5 to 2.5 years.
DTU has constructed five modern research laboratories and three new centers, the Advanced Telecommunications Lab (AT lab), the Robotica and the Center of Electrical Engineering (CEE).
