Specifically, in education, the two schools agree to share teaching experience, organize workshops and seminars, and collaborate in sending lecturers and students to businesses to gain practical experience, and sharetheir study methods and research projects. In the near future, DTU and theDong Nai University of Technology expect to arrange seminars to improve the professional skills of students, in order to meet business requirements. The seminars will aim to improveteaching methods in Electricity and Electronics, Mechanics, Information Technology, Nursing and Environmental Studies. Internships will be monitored, controlled and evaluated to create rich and diverse programs meeting current business requirements and guaranteeing the quality of the graduates. A program entitled “Experience a Business” will be offered at both universities for students to visit and learn about a company, share experiences with the HR department and ways of developing relationships with business to help them in their career planning.
To evaluate the success of a university today, it is not sufficient just to look at traditional criteria, such as large campuses, modern teaching aids and experienced lecturers. We also must now consider the availability of international partnerships to broadenstudent knowledge, by way of study-abroad programs or programs which provide them with international knowledge here in Vietnam. After 22 years of internationally-oriented development, DTU has been highly successful partnering with many well-known universities worldwide.
