On June 7th, DTU signed an agreement with the Hanoi University of Culture and held a seminar entitled “Literature, Love and Life”. Associate Professor Nguyen Dang Diep, Director of the Literature Institute, Associate Professor Ngo Van Gia, Dean of the Literature and Journalism Faculty at the Hanoi University of Culture, Dr. Phan Ngoc Thu, DTU Vice-Provost, Dr. Tran Xuan Hiep, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, DTU lecturers and students attended.

In the process of developing DTU, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities has always endeavored to educate students to work in the local society. In addition, by collaborating with the faculty of other universities, they have received the encouragement and support to improve programs for their students.
Dr. Hiep said: “Students of the Faculty of Literature and Journalism are highly regarded for their dynamism, work ethic and adaptability, and receive many job offers on graduation. The education and ways of thinking they learn from their lecturers at DTU and from other experts provide the foundation for their objective and comprehensive international approach when analyzing and evaluating ongoing issues. I hope that our partnership with the Faculty of Literature and Journalism of the Hanoi University of Culture will help improve the quality of education and broaden job opportunities for our graduates.”
The "Literature, Love and Life" seminar
The two universities agreed to coordinate their activities in a number of key areas. The Hanoi University of Culture will participate in annual meetings to offer DTU their suggestions and educational support on curricula and special academic issues in Social Science and Humanities. They will also support the publishing of special scientific articles in the university’s research magazine, assist in student internships, fieldtrips and ways of improving their qualifications. DTU will modify curricula based on this advice and work with the Faculty of Literature and Journalism to select students who require special training to improve their qualifications in Literature and Journalism to study in Hanoi.
Partnerships with related institutions, special academic exchanges and a focused orientation in teaching linked with practical issues reflects the efforts of DTU, and of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular, to improve education in line with a realistic professional environment, to better meet the diverse needs of the students.
