The 19th National Physics Student Olympiad was, for the first time, organized at DTU, a private university. This year’s contest attracted 49 teams with almost 300 talented students and physics experts nationwide, marking the highest number of contestants since 1998.
DTU created the best of opportunities for contestants, such as a computer system with high configurability and guaranteeing a stable internet connection.
As part of the event, delegations participate in academic exchange meetings in Physics teaching and research, musical festival and sightseeing.
At the Awards Ceremony, the Organizers awarded one Special, eight Firsts, twenty Seconds and twenty Third Group prizes. Individually, there were fifteen Firsts, fifty-four Seconds and seventy-eight Third prizes for the Multiple choice test; fourteen Firsts, twenty-eight Seconds, forty-two Thirds and fourteen Consolation prizes for Experimentation; eight Firsts, fifteen Seconds, twenty-two Thirds and twenty-eight Consolation prizes for Exercise.
With their passion for physics, DTU’s contestants outstandingly won three Firsts, one Second, two Thirds, one Consolation and a Second Group prize.
In addition, DTU was awarded a Certificate of merit for the efforts the university has made in hosting the 19th National Student Physics Olympiad. This validates the ability of DTU to successfully organize such national-scale intellectual competitions. DTU also received a Certificate of merit from the Vietnam Physical Society for its good achievements in and contributions to all National Student Physics Olympiads so far.
The 20th National Physics Olympiad will be hosted at Tan Trao University in Tuyen Quang province.
