The 2015 National Vocational Teachers’ Festival awards ceremony took place at the Trung Vuong Theatre in Danang on September 26th. DTU lecturers won second and consolation prizes.

Held every three years, the festival enables attendees to share their experiences and helps promote teacher competency nationwide. Two hundred and thirty-six teachers and lecturers attended the 2015 festival from 159 vocational institutions nationwide.
This was the first time that DTU had participated and their overall performance was praised by the judges. Ms. Nguyen Tran Thuy An won a second prize in Reception Skills and Ms. Ly Thi Thuong gained a consolation prize in Housekeeping Skills.
Ms. An receives a Certificate of Merit
Ms. An said: “I was able to meet other lecturers from all over Vietnam. We have been encouraged by our families and colleagues, with strong support from the DTU Board of Provosts. Recently, DTU sent me to America on a Hotel and Restaurant Management course. This prize has motivated me to refine my teaching methods so that I can formulate stimulating lectures to teach my students the essential skills required today to meet the exacting requirements of their future employees.”
At the 2014 Danang Vocational Teachers’ Festival, DTU lecturers won one first, one second, two third and three consolation prizes. With its team of dedicated, qualified lecturers, DTU has demonstrated its commitment to the high educational standards which contribute to improvement of teaching in Danang.
