On June 4th, in collaboration with the Central Vietnam Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, DTU held the 2015 Jobs Fair, which was attended by forty-four companies from Danang and surrounding provinces in the Central Region. There were 1,900 job vacancies and 2,047 job application forms were submitted. The Jobs Fair is one of DTU’s traditional annual events designed to create better career opportunities for graduates of universities and colleges in the area.

Representatives of DTU and business cut the ribbon

Opening the event, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “DTU sincerely thanks local companies for continuing to help us train qualified students to meet their increasing demands. The Jobs Fair enhances our partnership with local business, and, at the same time, demonstrates our responsibility to our graduates according to our slogan “We Do Everything for Student Rights and Future Careers”. Hopefully all you will help our students find suitable jobs at the Fair”.

The occasion was an excellent opportunity for businesses to publicize their brand, create partnerships and convey their messages to students, in order to point them in the right direction and help them focus on their future careers. Mr. Chong Chwee Oh, Director-General of the Sandy Beach Resort, said: “I have been working in Vietnam for fifteen years, with three of them in beautiful Danang. Your country has developed steadily, which has created great, new job opportunities for all. In these times of international integration, you should especially strive to improve your foreign language skills, which are vital to your future success.”

The signing of partnerships with local business

DTU signed two new partnership agreements with PMC Danang and the Tuan Viet Company, who will work with DTU to provide training and internships. DTU will collaborate in research and training to provide professionals to meet local demand.

Many students attended the Jobs Fair

In this age of integration and globalization, there are many more job opportunities for qualified graduates to empower the local workforce, which is the reason why the Jobs Fair has a practical mission to create new job opportunities, improve partnerships with business and provide our community with able workers.
