Signing Ceremony for the Collaboration Program with Newcastle College

On May 12th, DTU held a signing ceremony for the Collaboration Program of the 2+2 and 3+1 study-abroad programs with Newcastle College (the UK). In attendance were Ms. Angela Allan - Director of Partnerships and Projects of Newcastle College, Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang - DTU Vice-provost, Faculty Deans and students.

Founded in 1894, Newcastle College is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the UK with over 20,000 students and with 8 campus locations, offering a wide range of programs including: English Language courses, pre-university courses, Foundation Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees and Masters Degrees.

Addressing the ceremony, Ms Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-provost, said: “Today's meeting is really a great opportunity for DTU students to understand more about Newcastle and learn more about studying aboard in the UK. The signing ceremony lays the foundation for a close partnership between DTU and Newcastle College. I hope you will enjoy your stay in Danang city.”

Under the signed MOU, DTU students in Business Management, Tourism & Hospitality and Software Engineering will be able to study at Newcastle College a 2+2 program (2 years of studying at DTU + 2 years at Newcastle College in the UK  to get Bachelor Degree), or a 3+1 program (3 years of studying at DTU + 1 year at Newcastle College in the UK to get Bachelor Degree).

DTU also offers a 1+1+2 study abroad program with Lorain County Community College, 2+2 with Medaille College and Appalachian State University in the US, 3+1 with  the Institute of Technology Tallagh (Ireland) and Coventry University in the UK, and a 4+0 On-site study abroad program with Upper Iowa University (America). By collaborating with Newcastle College, DTU plans to broaden study opportunities for its students.
