A Guinness World Record Set in Danang

On June 15th, 2014, more than 300 people participated in making a giant spring roll, including DTU students, foreign chefs and local tourism companies, at the Non Nuoc beach in Ngu Hanh Son district.

On March 20th, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Resort, the Danang Tourism Promotion Center, in collaboration with Apot. Asia (Asia Pacific Onboard Travel), hosted a Guinness World Record ceremony to receive an official award for the longest spring roll ever made.

The 500 meter spring roll was made from more than 500 kilograms of ingredients, including chicken, prawns, rice vermicelli, rice paper, herbs and salads.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Director of the city’s Tourism Promotion Center, said: “The objective of this event was to publicize one special Vietnamese dish to the world and to promote Danang tourism internationally. We would like to thank the lecturers and students from Duy Tan University, the Pegasus International School and nearly 100 people from other countries who worked closely together to build this world record-breaking spring roll.”
