On July 4th, DTU held the closing conference of 2013-2014 academic year for private colleges and universities in Danang. Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Kim Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Danang Commendation Board and Vice-Director of the Danang Department of Home Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Vice-Director of the Danang Department of Education and Training, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice-Provost and representatives of private colleges and universities in Danang.

Dr. Vo Thanh Hai delivered a report at the closing of 2013-2014 academic year. He reported on the benefits and drawbacks of the group’s operations and the achievements of private colleges and universities in 2013-2014. Ideas and suggestions based on the paper “The Orientation, Mission and Emulation Movement in 2013-2014” deployed by Dr. Vo Thanh Hai were received from representatives of colleges and universities and approved at the conference.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Dung said:
“Led by Duy Tan University, private colleges and universities performed their major mission of the academic year well, overcame some difficulties and proposed ways for improvement in the future. The development of private colleges and universities in recent years has enabled Danang companies to employ more highly-qualified employees than before. In the future, the Danang Department of Education and Training will continue to support colleges and universities to overcome their problems by creating new policies to promote them.”

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tinh, the President of Lac Viet College, approved the commendations of private colleges and universities. The conference especially recognized the role in 2013-2014. DTU met the requirements of the Department of Education and Training, and strengthened its collaborations with private colleges and universities, including the organization of the Danang Private Universities’ Mini-Football Tournament, in addition to meeting 100% of its admission target.
The conference came to a successful conclusion. This is the second year that the group has met. As the group leader DTU has won the credibility of its members and demonstrated its major role in local education.
