The Signing Ceremony between DTU and the Institute of Materials Science

On June 17th, following its traditional philosophy: “To Link Academic Education and Practical Research for the Good of Humanity, Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co -DTU Provost and President and Professor Nguyen Quang Liem, Director of The Institute of Material Science signed a collaboration agreement on scientific and technological research.

Professor Nguyen Xuan Quang, former Director of the Institute of Material Science, briefly talked about some of the basic research conducted by the Institute over the past 20 years. This included projects in nanotechnology, electronic components, metal technology, environmental technology, physical technology, mathematical technology, new energy materials, complex materials, catalytic materials and so on. These fields will be introduced for study at DTU in the near future.
 
Professor Nguyen Quang Liem said:”DTU is the right university for us to collaborate with and our partnership will boost research activities. We will help DTU to build an office of Material Science Research, to carry out trials and enhance its mission of scientific research. We are happy to know that DTU has attached special importance to investing in facilities and research equipment. This is the foundation for an effective, long-lasting partnership between DTU and the Institute for Material Science”.

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co said: “The signing ceremony is the starting point for a sustainable collaboration between the Institute for Material Science and DTU. I hope that this partnership will enhance the standard of our lecturers, broaden the development of research and extend scientific theory into practical results more effectively.”

The signing ceremony between DTU and the Institute for Materials Science opened up new doors for scientific and technological research at DTU. This will become the foundation to enhance the quality of teaching as well as providing opportunities for DTU lectures to experience and exchange ideas about applied scientific research.
