As skills, talent and maturity are being used as ways of measuring the abilities of the workforce, at the same time, local demands and standards have increased even further. The Signing Ceremony between DTU and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education
As agreed, DTU will provide the technology, study materials and manage the academic quality, as well as other training issues. Students can go to the campuses of DTU’s partners to practice, revise and take exams relating to the e-learning courses. DTU’s e-learning program was approved by MOET in 2008 and has been offered to students since 2010, with an enrollment of more than 2,000 students already, from all parts of Vietnam.
A unique feature of DTU’s e-learning programs compared to traditional education methods is that students are provided e-materials to study anywhere, anytime. Their curricula, taught by DTU lecturers, are recorded on DVDs or VCDs.
Additionally, as a way of keeping in contact, the programs are available over the internet, which means that students can put their questions directly to their lecturers during normal working hours or post them for a reply within 24 to 48 hours.

Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice-Provost said: “DTU has expanded its partnerships with universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh city to conduct e-learning programs. An advantage of DTU’s e-learning programs is that students can choose their own schedules and earn as many Bachelor degrees as they are able. It takes four years to get a Bachelor’s degree and just three for a vocational certificate. University and college students will spend between two and two and two and a half years on e-learning courses. Furthermore, the credit-based system is a big advantage for those who want to shorten or extend their study time, according to their availability. Establishing an open education method to meet the needs of many students, DTU has focused on enrollment, academic programs, examinations and the granting of degrees".
The preeminence and effectiveness of the e-learning programs has contributed to the prestige of DTU. Duy Tan University is planning to expand its e-learning programs widely throughout Vietnam to establish new creative ways of studying, in order to meet the expanding educational needs of its people.
