DTU to promote Experimental Research on Electronics - Telecommunications

With two latest abstracts by DTU Centre of Excellence for Multimedia Communications released on the magazine of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers -IEICE (listed in ISI*), researches on Intelligent Wireless Communications being done by members of DTU Center for Research and Development gained some successes in dealing with network sudden incidents which have troubled to resource and energy supervision procedure.

Since its inception in May 2012, DTU CEMC has put scientific research as top strategy mission with its ambition to become the typical research design in Computer Science sector, IT and Vietnam Communication. With great efforts and deep interest in doing research, Dr. Ha Dac Binh – CEMC team leader (and member of DTU Center for Research and Development) together with four members of the team have just released the first abstract titled “Outage Analysis for Amplify-and-Forward Relay with End-to-End Antenna Selection over Non-Identical Nakagami-m Enviroment” on IEICE magazine in October 2012.

With such early successes of simulation parameters and accurate algorithm to evaluate communication network output of DTU CEMC, IEICE Board of editors has agreed to release DTU CEMC second abstract titled “Cognitive Fixed-Gain Amplify-and-Forward Relay Networks under Interference Constraints” on its first publication of 2013.

Dr. Ha Dac Binh stated: “With these two releases, DTU CEMC team has paid a remarkable contribution to researches on new techniques for later versions of wireless network. Presently, many issues of transferring and collaborating in telecommunications are being studied worldwide, which means this sector is essential to meet people’s demands in communication and supervision, ect. Network planners, managers and telecommunication equipment manufacturers can refer to these very first results in theory and experimental research before putting into practice.”

In order to satisfy DTU Management Board desire to build research capacity in Electronics – Telecommunications, DTU CEMC is currently doing some researches on multi-media communications and holding symposiums, such as “Data security on Physical Layer : Efficiency Protocols and Output Evaluations” ,Optimized bit allocation for multi-source – multi-path P2P video streaming in VoD systems over Wireless Mesh Network”….Especially, DTU is cooperating with Vietnam Wireless Association to organize International Conference on Computers, Management and Telecommunications in January 2013, which is presided and sponsored by IEEE – the world largest professional association for the advancement of technology.

With a sound investment in the development of researchers and major laboratories, DTU aims to be “a university with moderated teaching methods, closely connected to practical experience”. The targets of having 20 press releases at international level annually in Mathematics, Physics, Molecular Biotic, Pharmaceutics, Electronics – Telecommunications, IT and Construction partly presents such strivings.

Hopefully, deep interest in doing research together with creativity spirit will bring DTU scientists new progress and success on the way to conquer the peak of knowledge.
