Responding well to the “World Blood Donor” day, on June 14th, 2010, the DTU Student Union co-coordinated with the Danang Youth Union to conduct the second blood donation program of 2010 in the lobby of DTU’s Nguyen Van Linh campus.
With the motto “No shortage of blood this summer !” DTU’s student and faculty enthusiastically donated their blood. Their generosity will certainly bring to the recipients happiness, joy and life.
After hours of working carefully and cautiously, the organizers collected 200 litres of blood. Ms. Vo Thanh Tam-a student from the Accounting Department stated “Despite the fact that I am preparing for my final exams, I managed to attend this program and think my blood could save someone’s life. This is the third time I have donated.”
Normally, each year DTU’s Student Union organizes three consecutive blood donation program, in March, June and December. From the beginning of 2009, the faculty members and students of DTU have donated over than 1,500 litres for local hospitals. That is one of the ways DTU students show their responsibility to society and community.
