Regional (Asia) CDIO Academy
Welcome to the 2018 Regional CDIO Academy to be held at the Duy Tan University, Vietnam from March 11-th to 13-th, 2018. Over forty undergraduate engineering students from Asian university will showcase their design-implement projects.
The 2018 Regional CDIO Academy invites teams of engineering students to participate in the conference and to submit innovative design projects to the competition.
Competition Criteria
The project may be an innovative design of a product, process, or system. Each team will perform their project in front of judges.
The projects has to meet the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrates a design-implement product, process, or system
- Demonstrates two or more phases of the Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate approach
- Has the potential for practical application
- Demonstrates knowledge of the context to which the project applies
- Provides evidence of effective teamwork
The award
The team project that best meets the selection criteria will be awarded.

The fee includes:
- Welcome Reception Dinner (evening 11 March)
- Lunch (12 March & 13 March)
- Dinner in Danang (12/3)
- Stay at the university campus hotel at 733 Nguyen Tat Thanh Str., Danang (from March 11-th to 14-th)
Accommodation
We recommend all the cdio academy students stay at the university campus hotel (Epin Hotel www.epinhotel.com) at 733 Nguyen Tat Thanh Str., Danang. The shuttle bus is available for a round-trip from hotel to university main building at 3 Quang Trung Str., Danang. The room is allowed up to 8 students with individual bed.
