On May 3, the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy and the company Mega Lifesciences held the 2024 Mega talk show titled “Exploring Career Opportunities in Pharmacy” to provide career guidance to students and help them set clearer goals for the future already while still studying at the university.
The event was attended by representatives from Mega Lifesciences, including Ms. Hoang Tuyet Nhung, Human Resource Director; Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, National Sales Director; Ms. Nguyen Lien Huong, Brand Manager; and other HR specialists. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice Provost and Dean of the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy; Dr. Dinh Dao, Head of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy’s General Affairs Department; Dr. Ha Hai Anh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Mr. Ha Van Thach, Head of the Department of Pharmacology Management and Practice, also attended. Besides, the talk show attracted more than 200 students and lecturers.

Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice Provost, and Dean of the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy, said: “The Mega talk show is a meaningful program held nationwide. With the wish to offer students useful information about the current pharmaceutical market and to hear their concerns and aspirations, the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy collaborated with the company Mega Lifesciences to hold this talk show. Hopefully, after today's talk show, students will receive 'golden' keys to unlock their future career paths.”

The talk show kicked off with exciting games and gifts from Mega Lifesciences.
The speakers in today’s talk show, who have extensive experience in sales and development in the healthcare and pharmacy industries, included Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, National Sales Manager of Mega Lifesciences with many years in consumer sales and pharmaceuticals; Ms. Hoang Tuyet Nhung, Head of Human Resource and Administration with many years working at Mega Lifesciences; and Mr. Doan Khoi Nguyen, Recruitment Specialist with expertise in headhunting and pharmaceuticals. Essential skills for interviews, job applications, and important tips for studying at university were shared by speakers at the talk show. The speakers also explained to the students the criteria for selecting employees and related careers in the fields of healthcare and pharmacy.
The talk show provided students with much useful information
In addition to listening and acquiring useful knowledge from the speakers, students had the opportunity to interact and talk directly with them. They asked many questions, including “How to learn and develop in a new environment”; “What should new graduates equip themselves with to apply to a pharmaceutical company?”; “Does the company require prior experience?”; and “What job positions are suitable for Pharmacy students?” These questions were thoroughly answered by the speakers.
At the end of the talk show, the students of the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy also had the chance to be interviewed and receive advice on improving their CVs when applying to the company by the guests from Mega Lifesciences.
