Hoang Hoa Tham High School wins the 2023 “Quang Region Gen Z” competition

On November 5, hundreds of teachers and students cheered the three finalists at the “Quang Region Gen Z” competition, held at DTU.

“Golden Tickets” were awarded to the Hoang Hoa Tham, Son Tra and Nguyen Khuyen high School teams after they overcame the intense competition of the other high schools.

The “Quang Region Gen Z” finals exceeded everyone’s expectations and, in the Oration section, the self-confidence and elegance of the three orators made it difficult for the jury to decide.

In the Multiple-Choice test, in the Answering Questions with Answers section, the Hoang Hoa Tham High School team won 43/60 points, with faster and more accurate answers than the other two teams.

-    Hoang Hoa Tham high school came first, with 77 points
-    Son Tra high school second, with 56.5 points
-    Nguyen Khuyen high school third, with 53 points

Ngo Nhu Y, from the Hoang Hoa Tham High School, said: “We tried our best in the “Quang Region Gen Z” competition to score the highest points in all sections, won valuable prizes, learned much about the historical, economic, social and cultural aspects of Danang-Quang Nam in the past and present, and improved our vital soft skills."

The contest was jointly organized by the Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Danang Department of Education & Training and DTU, for high school Gen Z students throughout Danang. It consisted of several sections, contestants from 22 local high schools and 3 CCEs. 25 teams were drawn up and divided into 8 groups to compete for places in the semi-finals, with a first prize of 12 million VND, 8 million for second and 5 million for third.
 
In addition, the Phan Chau Trinh and Hoang Hoa Tham high schools were awarded 2 million VND each for their presentations about their schools, and Nguyen Khuyen High School was awarded 3 million VND by the Phi Lu Restaurant for their winning musical performance.
