The Scopus database, with data from 1960 up to October 2023 was used to identify the top 100,000 most influential scientists. The criteria measure factors such as the scientific influence index worldwide, the total number of citations; the Hirsch h-index; the Schreiber HM-index; the number of citations for articles published as sole author; and the number of citations for articles as the lead and final authors. The list of scientists is divided into 22 main fields and 174 sub-fields, by discipline and specialties, and each of them must have published a minimum of 5 articles.
