In order to promote cooperation and the advancement of academic and educational exchange, DTU signed a partnership agreement with Dong-A University (DAU) on August 17th. This collaboration will contribute to improving the quality of human resources and boosting the joint development of the two universities.

Located in the beautiful port city of Busan, Dong-A University is among Korea’s most prestigious private institutions and has been leading the internationalization and advancement of education by cultivating active, intelligent and creative people. The university has twelve colleges and ten graduate schools. DAU has trained 180,000 talented people, many of whom are now CEOs working for over 1,000 businesses in Busan and Gyeong Nam. In addition, Dong-A university continues to secure world class researchers and teaching staff in an effort to produce global human resources that will lead the global era. In 2005, DAU achieved an “Excellent” rating in the 2005 University Evaluation by the Korean Council for University Education and an “Excellent University” rating by the Korean Association of University Professors in 2005.
Dr. Hae Woo Lee, Dong-A University provost, said: “Thank you for the warm welcome from the DTU Board of Provosts and the DTU lecturers. This is the second signing after the first MOU signing in 2017. We will try to collaborate with DTU to jointly improve training and academic exchange for the improvement of the quality of human resources. Although DTU was just established in 1994, it has moved up to be among the top universities in Vietnam. In my opinion, this impressive achievement is thanks to the great leadership of Mr. Le Cong Co and the enthusiastic dedication of the lecturers and staff. I hope the signing will create conditions for both universities to strengthen our bilateral relationship and improve the quality of education at both universities.”

Over the years, DTU has been expanding international collaboration to improve the quality of its education and promote academic exchange with many well-known universities around the world.
The signing between DTU and DAU is a milestone marking the bilateral relationship aimed at improving the quality of higher education. DTU and DAU agree to collaborate to promote the potential, capabilities and strengths of the two universities to attain long-term benefits. DTU and DAU agree to develop the following activities in academic areas of mutual interest:
- Academic visits;
- Exchange of faculty, researchers and other research and administrative staff;
- Exchange of students;
- Collaborative research projects;
- Lectures and symposia;
- Exchange of academic information and materials;
- Other forms of academic cooperation.

Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Provost, said: “In terms of its history of development, DTU is a young school in comparison with Dong-A University. I greatly appreciate the achievements Dong-A University has achieved. After today’s signing, in addition to the exchange between leaders of the two sides, DTU will send representatives of its member schools to Dong-A University for further work because this signing will contribute to creating a network connecting lecturers and researchers, domestic and abroad. It can be said that in recent years, Korean investment has continued its uptrend in Vietnam. It is known that Seoul National University will open a campus in Ho Chi Minh City, which means that the educational cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean universities is becoming stronger. I hope the partnership between DTU and Dong-A University will lead to great achievements in the future.”
