Six Vietnamese Universities enter CWUR Ranking 2022

A total of six Vietnamese universities have been named among the global list of the world’s top 2,000 universities for the 2022 to 2023 edition, as released by the Center of World University Rankings (CWUR).

Top 6 Vietnamese universities enter the CWUR’s 2,000 Best Universities
 
The top 6 universities in Vietnam in 2022-2023 by CWUR:
 
- DTU # 1.140 worldwide,
- Ton Duc Thang # 1.199 worldwide,
- VNU Hanoi # 1.204 worldwide,
- VNU HCM City # 1.492 worldwide,
- Hanoi University of Science and Technology # 1.958 worldwide,
- Hanoi Medical University # 1.994 worldwide.
 
DTU has recorded the most significant rise, moving up 342 positions to come out top in terms of the national rankings and is placed at 1,140th in the world. Ton Duc Thang University is in second place for Vietnamese institutions and stands at 1,199th globally. VNU HCM City jumps 127 ranks and VNU Hanoi climbs 62 places. Whereas the Hanoi University of Science and Technology drops 4 positions. This year’s version of the list also marks the first time that the Hanoi Medical University has made the global 2,000 list, (at 1,994th)

- Princeton University, (US)

- California Institute of Technology (Caltech), (US) 
 
Five ASEAN countries with universities ranked by CWUR are: Thailand (10), Malaysia (8), Viet Nam (6), Singapore (4), and Philippines (3). 
 
CWUR is now the largest international university ranker. The CWUR’s rankings are based on four criteria: 
 
- Quality of education (25%), 
- Alumni employment (25%), 
- Quality of faculty (10%) , and 
- Research performance (40%)
