In 2016, the “Beach Sand Sculpture” contest was held for the first time, and the scale of the contest increased in subsequent years, with ever higher participation numbers.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the contest was postponed for 2 years. This year is the fifth time the contest is held.
