The DTU Admissions Board announced its 2020 admissions criteria based on 2020 High School Graduation Exam (HSGE) results for:
 
- General Nursing: 19 
- Bachelor in Pharmacy: 21 
- General Practitioner: 22 
- Odonto-Stomatology: 22 
 
Transcript-based admissions criteria
 - Nursing: Three-subject score of 19.5 or 12th grade graduates with honors, or with high school graduation grades of at least 6.5
- Pharmacy, General Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology: Three-subject score of 24 or applicants who graduated 12th grade magna cum laude or higher, or with high school graduation grades of at least 8.
 
International collaboration to share high-quality curricula
 
DTU focused on the creation of Health Sciences majors into key disciplines to graduate highly professional healthcare workers and, over the years, has established partnerships with universities around the world to share their advanced programs, upgrade teaching methods and infrastructure, including the University of Illinois in Chicago, which has the most comprehensive program in Medicine and Nursing in the US, and the University of Pittsburgh, ranked seventh in the US in Health Sciences. Elsewhere, others include the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, in Israel, the Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore, Burapha University, Khon Kaen and Mahidol University in Thailand, the Sun-Moon and Dong-A University in South Korea.

DTU partners with other universities and hospitals 
 
General Practitioner majors learn about child psychiatry, tuberculosis and lung disease, orthopedic trauma, cancer, neurosurgery, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, endocrine surgery, clinical medicine and hematology, while Odonto-Stomatology students study the structure, function, and operation of the human chewing system, the diagnosis and treatment of common odonto-stomatologic diseases, like cavities, periodontal disease and oral infections, and the diagnosis and pre-treatment of odonto-stomatologic diseases, including tooth deviation or loss, cancer, birth defects, traumatic facial inflammation and so on.

DTU collaborates to provide internships, international studies and career opportunities
 
In Nursing, DTU has established relationships with the Suganuma Corporation, LC Partners and the Seirei Social Welfare Community in Japan, as well as universities in Israel, Sweden, Thailand and the Philippines to broaden student qualifications and to open up new and attractive career opportunities. 
 
Graduates may also extend their studies for two years to obtain an International Master’s degree in Nursing, in partnership with Fooyin University in Taiwan, and the very first class just graduated.

Health Science courses incorporate the PBL proactive project-based teaching method, used in the life science and medical education internationally. Several powerful supporting applications are available to ensure efficient learning, including:
 
- The 3D anatomy simulation model, with 3,924 technological details of the human body
- The eCPR training system specializing in first aid heart and lung resuscitation procedures
- The DTU-Vent professional medical ventilator, available for Covid-19 patients
 
These applications were all invented and manufactured by DTU staff and lecturers, who were trained abroad to teach about prevention, treatment and cures in healthcare services in the community.

DTU meanwhile collaborates with local hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers and chain stores to provide additional knowledge and skills from experienced doctors and pharmacists.
 
In 2020 season, DTU continues to award preferential scholarships to students of Health Sciences:
 
- Applicants from Gia Lai, Daklak, Kontum, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, and Binh Dinh will receive Scholarship Vouchers worth: 2.5 million vnd, when signing up for any major but Pharmacy and 2.9 million vnd, when signing up for Pharmacy
- Applicants from all other locations will receive Scholarship Vouchers worth 2.2 million vnd for any Health Sciences major.
