The DTU Journal of Science & Technology Adds Three More Fields for Publication: Economics, Literature and Pharmacology

The State Council for Professorship recently announced its approval of the 2020 list of official scientific journals. As a result, the DTU Journal of Science & Technology has added three more fields which can be assessed for publication points, from 0 to 0.25, in Economics, Literature and Pharmacology. The DTU Journal now has five fields eligible for points so far, the other two are Physics, since 2017, and Biology, since 2019.

The Ministry of Information & Communications issued the DTU Journal of Science & Technology its first print press license in 2011 and the National Agency for IT of the Ministry of Science & Technology assigned DTU an ISSN number in 2012.

Announcement of the establishment of the DTU Journal of Science & Technology

Journal articles must conform to specific principles. They must be new, original and unique, with strong scientific value. Before publication, papers must be peer-reviewed once or several times by experts with academic qualifications related to the topic. Authors may be students, lecturers, researchers and scientists from the university, elsewhere in Vietnam or abroad. Many of them may already have published internationally in ISI-indexed journals.

The journal currently uses the ANTIPLG application to judge the originality of texts. The software can detect passages that may have been copied, by analyzing writing styles and matching with online documents with great accuracy. The application eliminates plagiarized papers, ensuring the academic veracity of all publications.

The DTU journal is published six times a year, five in Vietnamese and once in English and focuses on Natural Sciences, Engineering o& Technology, and Social Sciences & Humanities. Since 2011, the journal has been published 39 times, with about one hundred papers per year. DTU has been investing in the improvement of research, which is a key responsibility of staff and lecturers, and encourages them to publish in international and domestic research forums, which increases the quantity and the quality of publications year after year. With the support of the Vietnamese State Council for Professorship, the journal can attract high-quality papers from inside and outside the university, quickly improve in academic quality and soon be included in the national citation index (VCI) or the regional (ACI).
