On May 5th, Mr. Pham Hung Cuong successfully defended his Business Administration PhD dissertation entitled: “Factors impacting the brand value of retail businesses in Ho Chi Minh city”. The thesis was conducted under the mentorship of Associate Professor Le Duc Toan, DTU Vive-Provost and Dr. Ho Van Nhan, Vice Dean of DTU Graduate School. Nguyen Xuan Minh of the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh city.

PhD candidate Cuong built a model of the factors which affect the brand value of retail businesses, using different levels of quantitative and qualitative analysis, CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and the SEM (Structural Equation Model) method. He then proposed solutions to improve the brand value of retail businesses in Ho Chi Minh city in the future.
Mr. Cuong’s successful defence was highly appraised by the Thesis Assessment Committee, because of its practical value as reference material for future research. He will now be conferred the title of Doctor of Economics, specializing in Business Administration.
