A Meeting with Dean of Purdue University, Calumet

On December 18th, a meeting was held between Professor Niaz Latif, Dean of the College of Technology at Purdue University Northwest and DTU K23 students of PNU Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics

Professor Latif said: “Purdue University Calumet was founded in 1946 and is a member of the Purdue University system of educational institutions, with worldwide recognition. The university offers 50 graduate and undergraduate programs for 10,000 students, 800 of whom are international students from 40 different nations. During the first two years at DTU, you will focus on English, general subjects and several basic specialized courses. When you meet admission requirements, you will be able to experience a world-class education and degree from Purdue University on graduation, with many excellent American job opportunities.” 

Questions relating to the 2+2 program with Purdue were answered by Professor Latif and Dr. Ha Dac Binh, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Duong Quoc Thang, a DTU K23 student of PNU Mechatronics, said: “Today’s meeting was a great opportunity to find out more about our major and point us in the right direction to meet the program requirements.”
