An Agreement with BANACAB

On February 28th, a partnership agreement was signed between DTU and BANACAB of the Sun Group. Mr. Nguyen Lam An, Executive Director of BANACAB, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, and DTU lecturers and students attended.

The Sun Group was established in Vietnam in 2007 and has implemented a series of projects contributing to the socio-economic development of many local communities. The Group’s first success in Vietnam was the Ba Na Hills development, near Danang. Ba Na Hills has one of the biggest cable-car systems in the world, Fantasy Park is one of the five largest indoor parks in Asia and the French Village, which is built in European style. Ba Na Hills has quickly become a favorite tourist destination and has attracted an increasing number of tourists to the area.
 
 
The signing 
 
Mr. Nguyen Lam An said: “We have already participated in various activities hosted by DTU, particularly the annual DTU Job Fair, we are looking for qualified DTU graduates and hope to broaden job opportunities for those who want a career in Tourism. At the same time, we also want to explain our job requirements to give them a better career perspective.”
  
Under the agreement, BANACAB will annually provide DTU its requirement plan for two-month internships. BANACAB will arrange transportation and accommodation, in accordance with company standards, and manage the students throughout their training in the professional skills of the workplace. DTU will select qualified students and provide staff and lecturers to monitor their work. DTU and BANACAB will create joint training programs and other projects together to develop the partnership.
