From September 17th to 23rd, Le Tu Dung, a DTU International School student, took part in the 2016 P2A ASEAN Cultural Sport Fest at Mahasarakham University in Thailand. Hosted by P2A, the event was to engage students in the ASEAN community in cultural sports activities and share unique experiences.

Several fascinating activities took place at the festival

Students from Malaysia, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Indonesia and others took part in an Aerobics performance in  the modern gym at the university and participated in volley-ball, soccer, badminton and so on. They also enjoyed playing Thai and Vietnamese traditional sports, such as Muay Thai, Kpao Cop and Tug of war.

Mahasarakham University’s representatives took the students to visit a breeding farm, an agricultural farm, a cattle-feeding company, a mushroom museum and a silk factory at the university.

Le Tu Dung said: “I had a chance to meet many friends from ASEAN countries, who were very helpful and sociable. I realize now that, as well as studying, we should frequently play sports to keep fit. Students should have a healthy mind and body to work and cope with new challenges. That is why the 2016 P2A ASEAN Cultural Sport Fest was really practical for students and will attract even more in the future.”
