“Nursing is a vital component of community healthcare,” said Vice-Provost Associate Professor Minh as he happily welcomed the new students with some sincere advice. “There is now a serious lack of skilled nurses worldwide. You will become an important resource to meet the urgent needs of our community. You therefore must work very hard in your studies and research to develop the special skills required of you in the development of Vietnam’s health sector.”

In recognition of student achievements, the Faculty of Nursing presented awards to the freshmen with the highest entrance exam results. Students and groups of the K18, K19, and K20 classes with most outstanding achievements in 2014-2015 union activities also received certificates of merit from the Nursing Faculty Executive Board and the Duy Tan University Union.

With happy songs, lively dances and bustling games, Nursing students of different classes joined with their peers from Medicine and Pharmacy to offer a delightfully friendly welcome. These feelings were shared by senior students who helped to make the newcomers a part of DTU. Many challenges and opportunities face the new students but with their youthful awareness, passion and enthusiasm, it is certain that these freshmen will work to turn their dreams into reality.
