Previously, the DTU Faculty of Pharmacology had successfully found a way to exterminate the Convolvulus plant on Cham Island, in Hoi An. The research team discovered a special chemical and a way of injecting it directly into the Convolvulus, to exterminate it completely. This method is environmentally-friendly and does not harm people’s health. It’s also thorough, economical and reduces time and labor costs.

Dr, Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “In addition to basic education, DTU is planning to encourage research activities and put the results into practice. Our recent achievements have become a great motivation for DTU to increase our research activities and strongly contribute to the socio-economic development of Danang and Vietnam.”
