On November 22nd, DTU met
with DHTP’s management board to expand cooperation in training and research and
to boost scientific and technology development at the Quang Trung campus.
Attendees included Mr. Tran Viet Phuong, an official of the DHTP Plan
Investment Board, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice-Provost and DTU lecturers and
staff.
A
meeting between DTU and DHTP
Mr. Tran Viet Phuong gave an introductory
overview of DHTP at the beginning of the meeting. Founded in 2010, DHTP aims to
attract foreign and domestic investors to link production, research, and scientific
and technology development to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of
Danang and Central Vietnam in general. In addition, DHTP has also cooperated
with research institutes and universities through training sessions and technology
transfer aimed to enhance the skills of workers and contribute to the development
of local industry.

Mr. Tran Viet Phuong said: “We highly appreciate the achievements of DTU.
The university is working with several well-known American universities to transfer academic programs to produce highly-qualified
employees to boost the development of the economy and society in Central
Vietnam and nationwide. In the near future, DHTP plans to cooperate with DTU
and consult with lecturers and other experts working in the field of science
and technology.”
DTU and DHTP will discuss partnering in the fields of technology education,
research and development.
