A New International Partnership for DTU

DTU met with Mr. Jarrod Howe, International Program Manager of the Auston Institute on February 16, to explore an educational relationship.

“Our goal is to seek partnerships with regional universities. Based on Danang’s great potential, we found that DTU met our criteria for a potential long-term collaboration”, explained Mr. Howe.

DTU meets with the Auston Institute

Founded in 1996, the Auston Institute of Management and Technology has been an academic leader in Singapore and the region. With two campuses in Singapore and Sri Lanka, Auston offers a diverse range of courses in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Electrical Engineering, Resort Management and Information Technology. In addition, Auston partners with the University of Coventry in the UK and with the Northwest Missouri State University in the US and was certified ISO 9001 in the year 2000.

On behalf of DTU, Dr. Ha Hoc Le, Dean of Tourism and Mr. Nguyen Duc Man, Vice Dean of the DTU International School gave brief presentations on some of DTU’s goals and advanced programs. They hope to work with Auston to arrange an exchange program for students majoring in Business Administration, Tourism and IT.

Mr. Howe said that it will be possible to offer 3+1 or 3+2 programs. That means that, after completing three years study at DTU, students will be able to spend one or two more years in Singapore prior to graduation. He also mentioned the possibility of offering DTU graduates a Masters Degree program at the Auston Institute.

DTU will meet again with Auston very soon to finalize the agreement.
