DTU students won first prize in the 2011 Student Singing Gala, held in November by the Danang Students’ Association. This award demonstrated how hard DTU students have been working in new academic year. Twenty-four teams from the Danang area participated. The awards ceremony was took place on the 13th of November with total prize money of sixty million VND.
The Gala took place at four different universities and colleges and the judges selected a winner based on team performance.
DTU students perform
The DTU team performed five times. Three of their pieces were chosen to be performed at the awards ceremony. DTU also took the honor of being the only university to perform in the 2nd Student Congress of 2011-2016.

“Although we were very busy preparing for new academic year and the DTU 17th anniversary activities, we tried our best to perform well in the gala in order to demonstrate our DTU culture to the audience and judges. Winning first prize was a big achievement. DTU has been recognized for many years now for our strong extracurricular activities”, said Pham Trung Tuyen, leader of DTU team.
