An Opportunity for DTU Students to visit Spain

Continuing the DTU partnership program with Malaga University in Spain, on Jan 15th 2011, a representative of Gestión Educativa Consultores (GEC), a prestigious educational organization, held a seminar to present study opportunities at some of the largest public universities in Spain.

Ms. Tra, the GEC Project Manager, provided general information about Spain, including the generous Spanish government policies of Spanish government for international students. Mrs. Tra gave advice to students about the differences between graduates in Vietnam and those in western countries.

She stated that many outstanding companies just opening up in Vietnam, such as IBM, and the World Bank, have created a local need for qualified staff for special positions. However, they only recruit graduates from international universities. To meet these requirements, graduates must be ambitious professionals, always striving for advancement and promotion. So a good choice would be to prepare for these careers by studying in Spain because of its advanced educational environment.

Spain is very proud of its education system. Strong government support offers university students very economical study, accommodation costs of around € 8,000 per year, compared with those in USA, the UK, Canada or Australia. Overseas students can study in English or Spanish and university degrees there are recognized globally.
